Welcome.

Take a deep breath.

A therapist by personality, I have experience in helping clients with a wide range of problems and symptoms. Through counselling/psychotherapy, we create a safe space for you to truly feel and express your emotions, free from judgement. We work together to manage your symptoms and create a growth plan to heal and progress. I strive to make the entire therapy process both as simple and comfortable as possible, so that we can focus on your wellness and growth.

If you are going through a difficult period and struggling to cope, know that I see you, and I hear you. Mental health understands mental health. This journey will be tough, but I am here to support you the whole way through.

Sometimes the most difficult journeys end up in the most beautiful places. Let's nurture your growth, together.

Your Therapy Questions, Answered

  • My Approach
WHAT I DO I use an integrated approach, combining many different evidence-based therapies. This is more than supportive counselling from a friend. We are going to work together to get you the results you deserve and support you on the way there, through the ups and downs, with tools and techniques proven to work. I take your time, effort, health, and money seriously, and would never want you to be spending money on a service that isn't working for you. I do my best to provide you with quality care at a price lower than the standard because I believe that everyone deserves mental health treatment and care. WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU Our sessions are not regimented or routine and you can use your sessions however you like! If we need to feel the feelings, we will learn to deal with them. If we need to vent, express and be heard, we have the space to do that. I leave you after the session with resources, tips, tools, and worksheets so that you have something to hold on to and promote your growth outside of the session. We will be learning new techniques to help you grow along the way. It is important that you practice learned techniques and tips outside of our therapy sessions for maximum growth. I am here for you and you alone, and we will make sure that those goals are achieved, however small they are. Therapy is not linear, and a multi-disciplinary approach helps to address any plateaus in progress quickly and effectively. THERAPIES The approach I have is multi-disciplinary, so I use elements from various therapies, such as: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Positive Psychology/PERMA Theory Solution-Focused Brief Therapy Adlerian Psychology Trauma-Informed Approach Narrative Therapy Motivational Interviewing Client-Person Centred Therapy These combinations are combined with an approach that is consistently trauma-informed and culturally sensitive. These therapies are all focused around helping to rewire any unhealthy cognitions and coping skills we have learned along our journey of resilience and learn new, healthy ones. We develop a happier, balanced and richer life with positive psychology methods, and client-centred therapy helps you to get the attention, respect, non-judgement and unconditional positive regard you deserve, on your own terms, for you.

  • What will therapy sessions be like?
We will have 60 or 90 minutes, depending on the session type that you would like. I always recommend 90 minutes for the first session, as we are getting to understand each other, and you will be truly feeling all the emotions that have built up and motivated you to seek help. Those emotions deserve their time and space. I am here to support you while we process them. Together, we create a list of goals and an individualized treatment plan that we will use to maintain our progress towards achieving these goals. Psychoeducation is an important part of our sessions because the more we understand something, the better we are able to cope and move forward, and I strive to provide the ease of understanding to all my clients. Together we will learn how to feel emotions and work with them, how to cope and how to live a meaningful and rich life despite any setbacks you may experience. On your end, I hope to make everything as simple as possible, including forms, contacting me, and our sessions themselves. I offer virtual therapy and in-office (if permitted by pandemic restrictions), as well as phone and text. I am available to you at all times in the case of your immediate need (however, I am not an emergency service and you should always call 911 if you are in danger, to yourself or others).
  • Am I the right fit for you?
It is important to your growth and progress towards achieving your wellness goals that we are the right fit. Without this, eventually our sessions will stop progressing and become unproductive for the both of us. I offer a free 30-minute video consultations so that we will both be able to assess whether the fit is suitable and comfortable. You will know if I am the right therapist for you if: You feel energized and hopeful after sessions. It is easy for you to open up to me. We can relate to each other, either in emotion or life experience. You get a feeling in your heart or your gut, that we have a connection. If, in fact, you decide that I am not for you, that is okay! I will try my best to find a clinician for you and refer you to them.
  • Why do I do this work?
I am a therapist by personality, but also through first-hand experience. Mental health understands mental health. I have been through it and back and I believe that I can help others with my own personal experience in addition to my formal education. You will find that our sessions can be enjoyable, compassionate, and friendly. I am here with you on this journey of non-judgement, acceptance, and growth.
